BENEFICIARIES OF INTERNATIONAL PROTECTION STATUS

Asylum seekers based on humanitarian grounds can apply for the examination for a travel document to the Civil Registry and Migration Department. Asylum seekers under the age of 14 or dependents under the age of 14 can apply for the Dublin process. The applicant will be invited by the member state for an interview. When another member accepts responsibility for the applicant it can take more than two months for the procedure to finish.

Individuals that hold the status of Subsidiary Protection status based on humanitarian grounds can apply for a travel document to the Civil Registry and Migration Department.

Recognized refugees have the right to apply on issuing travel documents. Recognized refugees have the right to travel outside of the issuing country to other member states.

THIRD COUNTRY NATIONALS

According and depending to the contract, the airline tickets are being issued by the employer, both for arrival and departure from Cyprus. In case the employee (TCN) wishes to visit his/her country during the annual leave, the individual will bear the cost of traveling.

A third country national that had received entry visa within the Republic of Cyprus, submits an application that is accompanied with the necessary documents. The students must be able to prove that have sufficient resources for travelling tickets for returning to their country.
